10 months. The reason it’s usually 12-18 months is lead time to plan the wedding. Dresses can take 6 months to have made and tailored - they don’t make it until you order it. If you are ready to make a lot of decisions fast, go for it.

Dated 2 years, engaged in October, married the following May, 10 years ago! We were in our mid-30s by the time we got married.

9 months. It depends on the wedding, but some venues, dresses, etc can take a while to arrange, order, etc. if you’re not staying smaller and simpler. We had a January wedding and it was a less busy time so easier to book.
