There are players that do private training all of the time. There are also players that do individual skills and strength training on their own at home. None of this is any business of the coach.

However, I'm seeing it very obviously in some of the younger ages that are pre-ecnl... Are there northern va clubs that DON'T do this? It's extremely frustrating when your player already does supplementals elsewhere that you both prefer and get more out of than club ones, but then is getting less play time than kids you know have been doing privates at the club with specific coaches and assistant coaches per parent conversations. Before anybody comments that my kid just might not be as talented as the other players are, that is not the case. I'm talking first and second teams, not lower teams.
The coaches do not like if you train out side the club. That is money that should be going to their pockets. Also they do not want you kid to see pickup bad habits like seeing the field, technical skills, passing the ball, etc.

This. Also check Team Manager. Generally PP whose kid who is bubble material (or less) volunteer as manager. Some do both. Sad.
