It was enough hours that the family required the housekeeper to spend the night during the week. That is telling.

I had this job when I was in college, basic housekeeping help -- laundry, light cleaning, starting dinner -- for a family that had a toddler and new baby. It was a nice gig for a college student. A friend had a similar job (+ some babysitting) that she did in exchange for a free garage apartment. I think I found it through the college's local job board so I'd see about posting at any schools in the area.
