I had the surgery 18 months ago. It’s gotten much worse, not better. Apparently, he did no nerve decompression, which might have been what was needed.

Right scapular bursectomy and decompression. Utterly useless. Even worse now.

How long have you given it? I had a SAD (not my choice--I went under general thinking something different would be performed and woke up with an isolated SAD, which I would not have consented to) and it made my shoulder MUCH WORSE for nearly a year. After a year, I'm mostly fine and it's 99% stopped hurting. ...My other shoulder is having the same problem as the one that had surgery and I'm not getting another SAD. PT only.

Barry Boden at the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics.

He has an office in Rockville. A great doctor and a caring person with a lovely bedside manner.

DH had his shoulder replaced by David Lutton last year. Couldn't have gone better, recommend him unconditionally.
