I often put on SPF on my face before taking a walk at work, working outside, etc. It eventually flakes off and I have white residue on my face, which is a real nuisance at work. Any advice on how to avoid this? Thanks!
18:23 here. Sorry for the delay. The reason you get a white cast is mostly likely because your sunscreen is a physical sunscreen (probably mineral base) and it sits on your face rather than being absorbed. It's one of the reasons I prefer chemical sunscreens. Here's a good article explaining the white cast:

I thought it might be helpful to share some of the content creators that I’ve found really helpful in understanding skincare. I primarily use TikTok/Instagram which have short videos (no more than 3 minutes). YouTube can have much longer posts:
Dermatologists
Dr. Shereene Idriss (probably my favorite derm): On TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. Probably most active on TikTok. This is a great post on YouTube:

Dr. Shah the DermDoctor: Big following. I like him a lot. His content isn’t just informative, a lot of it is funny. This post includes 2 other derms that I like, too.

Dr. Charles MD: TikTok – this tells you how to apply Tretinoin:

Cosmetic Chemists
Alex Padgett from Educated Mess: Most active on TikTok. She did a great “March Madness” on Sunscreens to find which sunscreen she liked best and told us why. Found my favorites from that post!

Charee from ChareesBeauty: If you tend towards the geeky side, you’ll LOVE her explanations of ingredients, chemistry and why things work (or don’t).

If you’re interested in buying Asian Beauty (AB) products, this woman has done a good job reviewing the different sites.
https://www.kbeautyhobbit.com/post/wheretoshop . I’ve used Stylevana and YesStyle. It can take a while to arrive so don’t expect Amazon-style delivery. If you order from there, pay attention as to whether a product is in stock or if it will take days/weeks to be in stock. Everything in the order ships at once so if one item takes 28 days to be in stock, your order won’t even be shipped until it’s available. It can be frustrating.
