Don't they have the same number of seats as a compact car (unless you pay for the 7)? Should single people just drive sports cars and trucks that seat 2-3?

The interior is the most comfortable of any SUV

True. I've never actually liked anyone who drives one of these. They are very self-selecting.

Audis are much, much cheaper for a middle class striver to afford. The flagship 2024 Range Rover and 2024 Range Rover Sport are practically $100,000 base now. There's only one Audi SUV that can reach $100,000 and you basically never see it on the road (Audi SQ8).

Loved all my range rovers. And never had many mechanical problems. Nothing more than any other car….. I’ve had four range rovers so far.

How would you know? And who cares? Local Land Rover dealer will deliver a free loaner SUV to you and take your car away to be fixed. You don't ever have to actually waste time going to the dealer yourself. Any time your car is in the shop (an exaggerated claim in itself ), you get to put mileage on their loaner SUV.

They are popular in the Middle East and wherever their expats go, including Miami.

Ha, funny but that doesn’t explain the surge in Arlington.

No idea what you mean. They are all over SoCal where my parents live (just south of LA). Several in their neighborhood.

Way more Audis than RRs/LRs in this area.

They buckle quickly under the pressure from the first salesperson who hard sells them on a version of the life they want.
Other followers want to keep up with the Joneses and the cycle continues

They really are awful vehicles. Land Rover/Range Rover hasn’t made a decent vehicle in this century.

This. It was my dream car when I was young, DH gifted one to me and we spent easily 4,000 every time it was in the repair shop. New engine, etc. The service engine light was always on, always. So thankful to get rid of it (sold it to a nice man from Florida who loved the model and knew of its' difficulties but liked tinkering with the engines) and we will NEVER purchase a Land Rover/Range Rover again. Never. Consider it one of our worst financial decisions.

My track & field coach in HS had one. It was also gifted to her by her boyfriend. So this seems to be a trend lol

DC has lots of snobs and politically correct folk, and Land Rover is the perfect car for folks who are loaded yet don't want to be like everyone else of such means and driving commonplace bimmers and benzes.

Back in the day as in 1965? I’ve been hearing about their problem issues at least since the late 1990s / early 2000s.
