Subject: How old were you when you climbed the ranks?
Director and VP are now crap titles any one with 1/2 a brain can get. They are watered down titles.
In the 1970s and 1980s they were big titles.
SVP/EVP are what VP was 40 years ago.
Chase has 27 year old VPs in cubes left and right today. Chase in 1988 a VP had a corner office and a staff of 40-100 people.

Subject: How old were you when you climbed the ranks?
I was director at 34 but no direct reports since I was a valued IC. Sr director at 40 for promotion. Now stuck. Cant make it to VP because still have zero direct report

DH and I both became GS15 at 31. I left government for a VP job in the non profit sector at 38.
