I've only been to one so far but I did not notice any kids there without a parent. Many had both parents.
Same. I went with 1st to all the days. Tons of parents. Some had whole family. 2nd will be on her own because of conflicts, but sister is at the school already.

I understand not being able to attend all, but wouldn't you attend the schools with the most interest? Might not be the best event.

There were programs for parents as mentioned and I went but peeled off to do some work at times while DC went on student specific things. It was very helpful if you are trying to decide between two or three choices. We were able to drive and could combine two of the schools. Families should do what is affordable and works for them.

Attended accepted student days at UVA, W&M and VT as well as WF and BC. Very helpful in making the final decision - W&M.
What was the deciding factor(s) for W&M?

I have been to many admitted student days with my kids. I have never seen a kid at one of these events without a parent. Why would you send them alone?

I know one kid who went by himself, but he said it made him very self-conscious and awkward to be the only one without a parent. YMMV of course.

Usually, the parents come to these events (at least they did for all the ones that I attended). In many cases, the parents are the ones driving/accompanying the kids to the schools so it makes sense that they would be at the events. Plus, many events have a special programs for parents. But I get it - it is pain to take off work and spend extra $.
I had no idea this was a thing. DCs went by themselves.

I don’t know if they need to, but every kid I saw was with family. Often both parents.
