DP. I don't know about Shrier but there are studies that show that some forms of therapy can be harmful for children.

My DD has a very similar diagnosis, about to turn 10. She is in AAP in FCPS this year and she is in a completely different place emotionally from when she was in Gen Ed. I know not every child would have the same experience, but it may be worth trying to see how it goes. We tried therapy over the summer and it didn’t go great. We haven’t pushed it since. But who knows as puberty approaches, (I’m scared!!) we may also have to find a new therapist.
