That sounds pretty good to me! Our USAA rate is more, even when we had just one teen on it.

This just goes to show it’s all a matter of perspective. Our GEICO rate, which was always great even with a teen boy, jumped like crazy at the start of this year. We found a great deal with USAA and managed to spend the same for car insurance plus our umbrella policy as opposed to huge separate rates for both with GEICO.

Not sure about progressive but that cost doesn’t look much worse, if at all, than you’ll get anywhere else

We have had no at fault accidents reported. No tickets. We have 2 cars for 4 drivers (none new but will add our teen later this year). Meanwhile our rates have just skyrocketed with USAA for the first time. So has our homeowners with zero claims in 25 years! It leads me to conclude it’s all going up. You really can’t compare your rates to anybody else here because it will depend on the specific vehicles, specific driver characteristics and what coverage you’ve chosen. I need to start calling around but we’ve had such good experiences with USAA and have bundled other insurance so I hate to switch.

Homeowners and car insurance rates are skyrocketing.

+1. Car repairs have gotten more expensive in part for the parts themselves but also as cars have become increasingly high tech it costs more to repair them. Before you just replaced the bumper, now you need to replace all the sensors in the back which costs more for labor and materials.
