The winery tour in Sonoma with my sister in our 20’s.
It was a dozen people of all ages who each knew only one other person in the van. Our driver was great. We kept adding on more wineries and had the best time with everyone there!

We got married on a beach in Kauai...definitely would recommend that. We also did a helicopter tour on Kauai with no doors...it was pretty cool though I don't think I could do it now that I'm older. We also snorkeled somewhere way south of Wailea in a place no one else was at...I have this amazing picture of my H on the clear water with Haleakala in the background. I don't even know where that place was...we drove on dirt roads then hiked to the beach to snorkel.

On another trip we stayed with H's relatives in a city in India where I was the only Westerner in the neighborhood (no hotels or touristy things or anything). OMG the homemade food was amazing, vegetables bought off some guy with a cart who walks by every day. I've definitely experienced some things that were sketchy in India, but overall the people are so kind and lovely. We once saw a stone scultpture in a museum from like 2000BC and it was just out there in the sun to touch. Love India.

Finally, going to a sporting event in Europe at the home stadium of the team I've supported for decades was THE BEST. When you've only seen a place on TV for years, and then you are THERE? Singing the team song with thousands of people who love the team as much as you do? My H had such a good time that day, he wants to go again and I'm just like, YES PLEASE.

Many other things I could list, but I'll just say traveling the US and the world is so awesome. We don't have fancy cars or clothes or a fancy house, but the experiences and memories we have are top notch.

Are you me? Aside from riding a bus in India and trekking in the Himalaya (which I would love to do) - I have done the rest. So many wonderful memories!

Galloping a young Arabian stallion in the Egyptian desert. I can ride well, so the tour owner let me take his personal horse. Amazing. I haven’t been that utterly free since I was a kid. I also got to ride him in the Red Sea to cool us both off.

So many things, but the time I went to Dubrovnik and the family we stayed with drove us up a mountain, pulled off the road, rolled a spool table out of the bushes, and we all drank cherry brandy while watching the fireworks. The local family sang beautiful songs with amazing harmonies. Seventh and ninths seem to be as common as our thirds. It was amazing, and never would have happened if we hadn't gone to stay in Marya's little inn when she met the train.

At the New River Gorge in West Virginia we went whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and hiking in the New River Gorge National Park with our kids (9 and 6). We roasted marshmallows over a campfire and saw the Fourth of July fireworks in Fayetteville, WVa on sand chairs in an uncrowded park wearing hoodies with shorts because there was a chill in the air. There was a small fair/carnival nearby, so we rode some rides after the fireworks and had frozen custard.

It was so simple yet so great, and the kids loved it so much that they talked about it for months.

We signed up for some fly by night walking tour of immigrant neighborhoods in NYC. This guy took us EVERYWHERE. Truly odd experience and I felt unsafe a few times. We ended up in a Korean family's apartment above their dry cleaning business eating dinner. Best thing.

Hiked out to the edge of where the lava flowed from Kilauea. We went with locals who were prepared to drive over the "road closed" areas all the way to the end, then we donned head lamps and carefully made our way toward the edge. The sun went down and were standing in a field of glowing lava pools. Kinda scary. As we walked anywhere, the front runner continued to feel the ground for heat so we didn't accidentally walk on a lava tube. Would never do it again but it was so cool to do once. Pictures from it were awesome. Like being inside a giant fireplace.

I can't think of any answer except the fun guys I met when I traveled and was single. Great memories!

Went to Cap D'Adge as part of our honeymoon. I won't say what kind of trouble we got into.

Definitely do some research! There are a few ethical sanctuaries, but in general, anywhere that lets you ride them or do tricks is a no-no.
I went to Elephant nature park, and I've heard EJS is another good one.

Also, CM had some of the best food! Try khao soi and nam tok and CM sausage, these are unique to the northern region. YUM

Kayaking in Kauai past water buffalo and amazing bird species… very peaceful. Very few people around. We got caught in the thickets but laughed and had such a fun time.
