Interesting. Curious if anyone has run the numbers for Canadian universities?

I crunched University of Sydney to get a sense of annual Australian fees. Undergrad only. Aussie dollars.

Tuition (subject influences price) 52-56,000
College (room, board, tutorials) 40,000
Flights/living expenses 10,000

Say AU$104,000 is about US$67,500 per year.

Some degrees are three years, some are four. But very similar to UK, interestingly enough.

Their best value is for law (5 years instead of 7) or medicine (6 years instead of 8). The opportunity cost is several years of one’s life makes the international universities very appealing.

Yes. OP here. There's a college forum troll (well more than one) who rampages through helpful threads being a total arse. I told Jeff about this months ago and he did a clean up, but is not vigilant enough to keep an eye on that person who returns and returns, and yes, returns.

Plus flights, storage and in-between accommodation. At Cambridge most students need to vacate rooms after the 8 wk term ends and the 5 week break starts, due to conferences etc and rooms being rented out.

Not that poster, but yes, tuition only.

We have an offer letter from Cambridge. First thing they say after congratulations is the price.

£54,757 ($69,136) per year
£164,271 ($207,408) for the three-year course.

25k of that is university tuition
18k is for the college
10k for life etc.

While that price is fixed--will not increase each year--there is the risk of exchange rate fluctuations.

From their estimated website, Harvard, for example, is at about $81,000 per year, or $324,000 for four years.

You're correct the person asking for links does need to do that, but I'm the OP and I've done it already. I'm also familiar with the UCAS website. I've also attended university in the UK. What I haven't done is post a generic link that doesn't actually go where you say it goes "to fees" nope, not that at all. BE SPECIFIC when you post a link.

so an English degree was 31k gbp a year in 2020 and 38k a year gbp now. okay.. that seems in line with what has happened all over.

what some people dont realize is there are college fees on top of that.

I personally appreciate that some courses cost more than others - because they cost more to host than others.
