Spirit forgot to roster Ricketts? I'd say they don't have much of a plan for her. Hasn't seen the field yet. How do you sign a 16 year old that has never played in any competitive matches?
I felt so sorry for her yesterday. I'm sure she was so excited to get an opportunity play, and then it was taken away from her due to an administrative error. It was very bad luck, to say the least.
It's almost like NWSL is barely a professional league

I admit the first 20 mins of the game I was really missing Staab, and we may still miss her, but having the two rooks score goals was pretty cool.

Publicity stunt. There are better players in northern Virginia, that are her age.
No there aren’t.
Why were 3 NOVA players selected to play in CONCACAF championship with u17 wnt but she wasn’t?
CONCACAF is a JOKE...NOVA had 3 players picked by who?...All connections...it's a vacation for the chosen ones playing against terrible countries. No pressure. They could win every game by 10 goals. All the players that were picked are good, but please...NONE of them are that special. Rigged.
Connections? You think NOVA ECNL clubs have that much influence? All this board talks about is how bad all of the nova clubs are but now you’re arguing they’re influential enough to get players into international competition?
Coaches, parents, relationships...you can't be this clueless. I don't think you realize the lengths some people will go to influence their kid getting ahead.
And you feel this happened for all 3? Good one…
The three of them showed enough to be rostered for U17 WC duty, whether it happens or not will be another thing. I'd bet at least one will be.
Showed enough against concacaf teams that couldn't beat our local club teams? they had to cut the tournament down to 8 teams because the other countries can't field competitive teams and the US still won the games by an embarrassing amount. There is zero pressure in those games. This is a big problem going forward as the European countries develop and play competitive matches to qualify.
