I like Jackie O but she was not a more accomplished woman than Eleanor Roosevelt, HRC, or IMO, Abigail Adams/Dolly Madison/others who were invested in the political process.

That's who I was going to say.

I think context matters. What Eleanor Roosevelt did was incredible, at a time when most women, and certainly all prior first ladies, weren't doing much of anything.

That's not to discount Clinton at all. I'm not a fan (although I voted for her in 2016), but I think she has accomplished a lot, even considering context. I guess they're both trailblazers.

I think she is the obvious candidate but it comes with an asterisk that an ambitious woman had a lot more paths to be able to make that ambition a reality in the 80s/90s than basically any other time in history.

HRC was a partner at a law firm making significantly more $$ than Bill before they left for the White House. She was the first female partner at said law firm.

Love her or hate her, she's ambitious as hell.
