Krap. I own the book but haven’t read it yet and now there’s a show? And both sum? Ugh

I agree. I was interested enough to see it through, though I found Amy beyond insufferable and the other kids forgettable. Jake Lacy played the only mildly interesting one, and the only somewhat convincing athlete. Annette Bening was the standout, unsurprisingly. That speech about not being seen was fantastic, worth the price of admission. I've always loved Sam Neil, but he was a bit of a caricature here.

Reviving this thread because I just finished the book and I’m watching the show now.

Awful casting of the 4 kids. These weaklings are FAR from athletes…

And the drama! Hollywood, geeze.

Skip the show. Read the book!

I like the title. Thought provoking too.

Annette Benning was fantastic in this. Great to see her fabulous acting and voice again.

Very pointed theme on motherhood and wifery.

I didn’t find it boring. It had pretty good character development, suspenseful disclosure of info, and relatable family dynamics and athlete/small business dynamics.
Its flashback and character story episode layout progressed quite well. Several mysteries weren’t solved until the very end. Could have broken several ways. Love that part!

I thought it was great. I also liked that there was no cliffhanger.

+1 it wrapped up nicely.

And all the kids matured as well.

Yes she was the final chapter in the peacock series. It was all explained from at least three angles - two of her family members and herself

I liked it. It was more thrilling than whatever other posters wrote.
I can see them falling for the Mothers Helper conman.
Liked each chapter was a character.

I’m just finished the stan episode and it is cliffhanger after cliffhanger.

Now I’m wondering if I everything is going to go full circle, twice!
