Have you never been in a school where this sort of thing has happened? The whole school screeches to a stop to address something like a swastika. When my child's school had a bias incident, the whole school had to do a day-long session on antisemitism.
That's good, I'm not mad that my child did a day on antisemitism. But your not-so-subtle dig at Black and brown kids is misplaced.
That’s never happened at our school. It gets ignored. It may not be a big deal to you but some of us lost relatives, many. It is a big deal to us.

Kids like being naughty.

To an adult, yes. But to a teen it’s probably akin to calling someone fat. They just don’t realize the effects of such symbols yet.
NP, actually I think they do. The dumb ones put up graffiti like this and then get caught. But you should be worried about the ones who *feel* the same way but have more self control - they are more dangerous in the long run. The hate is what should worry us all.
My kid is (very close) friends with 2 different groups with vested interest in Gaza. The kids on both sides are getting radicalized and I am completely shocked by some of the things that are said. The level of vitriol has my (Hindu) kid starting to avoid both groups now.

By high school they know. Stop making excuses. The parents and teachers failed this kid and they should be thrown out of school at this point if they don’t know right from wrong.

Sure, that’s the solution. More invasion of privacy under the guise of security.
