I love the beach.

I don't think I've ever met a beach I didn't love. So yes, I'm a beach person! I love a crowded noisy urban beach, I love a secret hidden quiet cove, cold New England beaches, tropical beaches, rocky beaches, sandy beaches, etc. Luckily my husband likes the beach (though is a bit pickier than I am) and one of my kids is the same as I am. The other kid likes it well enough, so we have no problem as a family spending a full day at the beach.

You don't know ANYTHING about how water currents work, then. Seas are not safe. For a human, a sea is just as big as an ocean. There are dangerous rip and tidal currents in the Mediterranean. This is the place where Odysseus navigated all kinds of dangers, including a whirlpool, which do exist. This is where migrants drown every year trying to cross.

Don't be stupid about the risks. Seriously, I can't believe you just wrote that.

Nope. Give me mountain views any day. I find sitting on a beach doing nothing fun for about 30 minutes. Beyond that, it's just boring.

I adore the beach! I grew up on the Florida gulf coast and always have loved it. It does get HOT though. The best beach situation is staying on the beach so you can pop inside for breaks.

I think people tend to be beach people or mountains/lake people or city/museums people when it comes to travel.

I’ve only met one person who said they were a desert person. They hike the Grand Canyon 4 times a year—in each season.

I’m a beach person. I love the ocean—whether I’m on the beach with my feet in the sand or on a boat or cruise ship. Like Jimmy Buffet sings, “The ocean is my only medication.”

This is the setup under which I (very much not a beach person) am fine with taking kids to the beach. Being able to walk 5-10 minutes to pick up something we forgot, or go take a cat nap in the high sun, makes the difference for me. Will not go to a beach where we have to drive far to get there, and lug everything back and forth.

I used to be when I was younger. I am now that pasty white marshmallow under an umbrella wearing a big towel as a blanket to keep the sun off me.

I absolutely love sitting in cozy sweatshirts on the beach in the chilly off season watching the waves, though.

Absolutely LOVE the beach and always have. I also lived about a five-minute drive to the beach for a few years and it didn’t lessen my enjoyment at all.

I do not love the beach at the height of summer though! I’m going to Hilton Head the first week of April and enjoy the off season in terms of crowds and milder temps.

I was not until kids (I don't like how the sand gets everywhere) but man it's way easier taking them there than other places. So for this phase yes, beach person.

I never was until I had kids. They love playing in sand and waves. We like quiet lake beaches best but they had an amazing time in Puerto Rico this winter, and the beaches were pretty and temperate enough that even I enjoyed it.

I spent all my early summers at my grandparents' house on the beach in Chatham, Cape Cod.

As an adult I still love the beach, but I don't like it in summer when it is crowded with people - I much prefer the beach in the off seasons when I can walk with my dog and contemplate life and not have to deal with all the people.

no
We lived 10 minutes from a beach for 6 years. I can only remember going there maybe 3 times ?

I hate being hot. I burn easily. I am not a hat person. We had sand in our house so I really hate sand. And honestly seeing nearly naked girls, heavily pregnant girls, big HUGE women, wearing string things is so nasty and men drooling over that and showing their erections in tight swim shorts does NOT help.

My sister though dreams of living on a beach in Florida. She's a sun lizard.

I don't want to be on a crowded beach or be at the beach when it's "beach season." Going for a walk or reading for a couple of hours on a mostly deserted beach when it's like 65 or lower is my ideal.
