1) frequently are unresponsive, or delayed in responding to school staff on the few days (or hours) they actually are on the job
2) frequently WFH
3) get an absurd amount of paid holidays that don't include sick days (while working from home!)

Syphax staff don't get to work from home like in other school systems, so this is why they were given winter and spring break off, but they had the time they accrue for vacation reduced as a compromise. In addition, teachers complained about staff working from home, so this is why Syphax staff are not able to do this unlike other professionals at other organizations.

Who is teleworking? FCPS is not. If they want to spring break or winter break, they have to use leave.

This is a joke right? Syphax is literally never there and that was true even before the pandemic.

It is BS-- while it is not "allowed" to telework, many departments in central office (Syphax) allow the employees to work from home "off the record". How do I know? I am an APS employee (school-based) who goes to Syphax regularly for department things. On Friday afternoons, in particular, it is a ghost town in Syphax-- literally no one is there. This isn't because they are in schools, it is because they are just not working and probably "teleworking".

Because their "working from home" was a complete joke. They didn't do anything. Now they still don't do anything but they're in the office.
