The wife of the couple we bought from did something similar for us - look out for this or that, make sure to do xyz in this season, gave us their contact info at the new address, etc. It was really helpful because we were basically kids who had never owned our own home before.

Now that I'm a seller for the first time, I was wondering about doing something similar. Have you ever left something behind for a new owner? Nice chocolates? Card? Or nothing?

This! our owner left this too. Not just that they gave us their contact info and over the last 3 years we've actually become good acquaintances. We've pinged them numerous times about small things in the house and they've always been super helpful to us. Some homeowners are just nice.

We left tp in rather bathrooms, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen and a new shower curtain.Anonymous wrote:I've been a buyer twice, and am a first time seller. When I bought my house, the former owners left a sweet card and bottle of wine in the fridge.
