Can confirm. I visited the Costco in Fairfax with my toddler with my in-laws. I had an advantage because they are both former Peace Corps, had lived there and knew where to take us, knew people so they were our guides and had a great inside view of the store.

My 2.5 year old LOVES Costco.

We took our 3 and 5 year olds to Sesame Place last summer. It was great and they loved it. Our friends with kids the same ages did Luray Caverns last summer and said their whole family enjoyed it.

Another thing is that if you want to go to a more adult museum as well, the Virginia Museum of History & Culture has a kid's room upstairs with doctor kits, a pretend food truck, a post office and some other things.

You could trade off parents with the kids there while the other looks at the exhibits and could even go next door to the Virgina Museum of Fine Arts for a while. They also have a scavenger hunt for kids if you want to take them through the museum. Many museums have this and usually give out a prize like stickers if you turn it in.

Not all inclusive but Salamander (Middleburg, VA) and Bavarian Inn (Shepherdstown, WV) look promising.

The Greenbriar isn’t fully all inclusive but has a lot included, a kids club, and is a short drive.
