What color would you all recommend for a red brick house with black shutters, cream trim, and a charcoal roof?

(Not really. It's just fun to spell.)

NP also getting bids to replace front door. This is the color we're looking at for our door (for a red brick rambler). But I want my door to have some pop.

You need to consider an accent color in addition to the red brick. Do you have an accent color= painted shutters or dormers or painted trim?

If accent color is neutral, go with a green/blue or pale yellow for the door.

black-blue in high gloss is very old money but the rest of your facade should also look old school traditional

my red brick is painted light blue-green and match my shutters.

when picking paint colors know that they will look a lot lighter outdoors

This. People always forget to pay attention to the roof color. For a black door, you'll probably want a darker color shingle.

Purple. Looks amazing with a red brick colonial.

We used Benjamin Moore Mysterious, a very dark blue. We painted a shingle addition and the shed in the same color. It worked well because or brick is a little more orange than brick. When we moved in the door and trim were an ugly beige, that pretty much matched the mortar. Avoid that.

What color is your trim, shutters, and shingles? There’s a rule of thumb to only introduce no more than 3 colors on the facade.
