Stop knocking Ivanka. Many Indian women no longer wear dupattas with lehengas, not just celebrities. Those bra tops are ubiquitous. And if they do have a dupatta it’s off to the side, not demurely covering the chest. If you went to any recent Diwali party in India or the US you’d see.

Did you see the sports bra tip she wore to the other event? This one is very modest in comparison. She’s not seeing ordinarian Indians at these parties so I don’t think she needs to hew to the cultural standards for normal Indians. Anyway I think this dress is pretty but the sparkle sports bra one was too much skin for anywhere other than the beach or a music video.


Fair point, though I still contend that it's not wrong to go more modest when one is a guest in the country.

Ivanka was dressed by Manish Malhotra, who also designed these looks. They are quite similar, except Alia knows how be comfortable in one.
