snow and ice on the field and coming down with little visability... yeah, kids should be prepared but that year, that weather called for snow pants. my kid had gloves on the entier time, still ended up with frostbite. these are not professional athletes. they are kids.

My son played last weekend and it rained Saturday morning. Because of rain, the games got pushed back 5 hours and then the halves were shortened to 25 minutes. It was a bit of a mess to be honest.

Kids take cues from their parents. If parents are complaining about how cold it is, how it’s dangerous to be playing, and keep calling attention to staying warm, kids will say the same things. Give them the gear they need and treat like it’s no big deal (it’s really not) and kids will adjust

We had a game rescheduled to past dark. At first the kids were excited about playing under the lights, then it kept getting colder and the wind kept getting stronger

Bring heavy coats, gloves and hats if you have night games. Actually bring them anyway because games can get rescheduled and a warm day can turn into a bitterly cold night

Depends on which field. Look at the field on google maps and click the satellite view. You’ll be able to see if there are bleachers and if it’s grass or artificial turf
