Anonymous wrote:I'm a before/after school age program teacher, and I recently caught covid for the first time - spent the last 8 years working in healthcare and only had one upper respiratory illness that whole time because we mask when illness is going around.
I took 5 days of unpaid leave to recover from covid, but I'm still testing positive so I'm wearing a mask every day because I don't want to give it to anyone else, even if they gave it to me in the first place.
This is one point on which we could learn something from high population density Asian countries where it has been the standard for 20+ years to mask during the cold/flu season if feeling ill in any regard. It is a courteous thing to do in a caring society.

I would be pissed if my preschooler caught covid from their teacher returning to soon. My elderly MIL lives with us, and if she catches covid from our preschooler, it could mean an early death

The experts are ok with spreading a contagious disease that has serious consequences for some of us.
