It makes things harder for teachers and everyone else, not to mention their own kids when they grow up without any boundaries or budgets.

I am all for no phone rules but don’t make kids walk without any means of communication.
I told my kid if he takes it out and it’s taken away he needs to go to the office and explain he needs it back for walking home for safety reasons. I think he doesn’t want to talk to the office staff so it’s a deterrent for him!

My daughter got her phone taken away at school today for using it, and I told next time she gets in trouble she won’t have a phone for days. She said her friend is allowed to us her phone cause her mom cursed out the school for taking her phone away… why do parents thinks is okay to curse out a teachers when the kids is doing wrong?
Is this new?
Either your daughter or her friend or both are lying. Or the friend has special needs and some accommodations.
Or, you’re a troll.

He asks for a pass to use the restroom every day in my class. He’s gone for at least 20 minutes each time. Is there a medical condition that I should be aware of? I’m happy to provide accommodations if needed. If not, I’d appreciate if you could talk to him and find out if there’s something bothering him about the class? Is there a way I can make it better? I just want to support Student’s learning.”
Parent: “Bi%ch who are you to tell my child he can’t go take a sh$t?! What are you saying he has some kind of medical problem?! WTF is wrong with you?! I’m going to come up there.”
She did and the principal talked to her. The kid continued to take long passes even longer now that I “can’t do $hit because you’re scared of my mom.” Which actually is true. She likes me now because I let him stay in there for lunch though.
