Seriously! Get your kids vaccinated and then you don’t have to worry about the teachers making choices in line with CDC guidance/their available PTO!

Of course mine is fully vaccinated but don't want her bringing covid home to my immunocompromised self, particularly when pregnant given the horrible things with covid in pregnancy. Paid leave is a better policy then force childcare workers to work while sick

My seriously get vaccinated comment was actually mostly about measles but I actually agree with you that paid leave would be better. Unfortunately I can’t control the daycare leave policy any more than I can control my workplace’s leave policy so I’m fine with the teacher coming in (and not getting herself and me fired).

Unfortunately for you, the world is not going to shut down for you and your pregnancy. You will have to choose how/when to accept the risk of life. Luckily, you do have choices -- like keeping your DD at home or not, wearing masks or not, dining in restaurants or not, visiting friends/family or not, or choosing to fall somewhere in between these choices given the circumstances.

No I don't think they were. I think they thought less about going out and working while "just a little bit" sick. Parents giving kids a tylenol hoping it will last enough for them to work part of the day etc
