And the inverse of this: my husband NEVER tells me I am beautiful and it is a major underlying issue in our marriage. I know he loves me and I know he wants to have sex with me but he says it’s “not him” to be effusive with praise. Not with these two men who spoke to me politely in a way that was not flirtatious, but when I was in my 20s living in a more dangerous city, it occasionally would happen when I was walking by myself and men would catcall or whistle, and I would just ignore - didn't feel unsafe but I didn't want their attention. Look at women who are close to fifty-five that are still very beautiful now.

Jennifer Lopez tops the list but also look at Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani and shoot even Martha Stewart is still posting thirst traps in her 80’s!

“Women” is not a monolithic entity. Different people like different things. I also find the age restriction of 15-55 weird. 15 year olds are teenagers, not women. And it’s ageist and gross to suggest that older women aren’t beautiful.

From my boyfriend who loves me, yes. It doesn't mean much from others.

Not from creeper men.
