Because they’ll be so happy that you want to skip out on school days?

you are not a HS teacher. My kids had 2 finals and a presentation (as a final) the last week of school last year.

Which FCPS high school is this?

Right and how do I send my kid. Finals and AP Exams are such stressors.

If she's between 2 grades, the teacher might give her the lower grade.

FCPS Grading and Reporting:
https://www.fcps.edu/academics/grading-and-reporting/secondary/determining-quarter-and-final-grades

"A makeup final examination or activity is permitted only in the case of a student whose absence is excused. A student whose absence from the final examination or activity is unexcused will receive an F for that examination. Exceptions to this must be approved by the principal.

Final exams and midterms are not eligible for retakes."

You’re now in the part of education where attendance really matters. Sorry.

Because it's MS! Everything changes in HS!

Last week( sometimes 1.5 weeks) of school for HS is finals . I believe the last day of school is a Wednesday this year. So finals will start the week before and go until Tuesday.

Anonymous wrote:I have a question re: late final exam windows. If a school gives final exams the last few days of school, how does said school implement the retake policy? Or are final exams not eligible for the retake policy?

No retakes on final exams (though the 50% rule applies).

It’s why we have half days. Morning for exams, afternoons for grading/posting. Most exams are multiple choice because of the necessary quick turnaround.
