I pick a fruit the kid likes, a veggie they like, a protein bar and crackers/chips. I try to pick one other rotating item like a babybel cheese, packet of olives, yogurt etc. to keep it interesting.

This is after 4 years of testing and seeing what comes back uneaten every time. I change out the type of fruit or veggie every couple of days to cycle through what they like and what is on sale.

I add a treat from whatever is lying around - right now it’s Girl Scout cookies.

Sandwich (pb&j, peanut butter and honey, or sliced meat - nitrate free if I buy, DH buys whatever is cheapest).

Veggie- cucumbers or carrots usually, occasionally broccoli or sugar snap peas

Fruit: usually apples or grapes, sometimes strawberries. My kids won’t peel clementines themselves.

A few cookies if I pack luch. No treat if DH packs their lunch.
