Did “we”?

Wow.

As a parent you don’t have an experience interacting with teachers and administrators ? Wow yourself.

I have never interacted with a teacher or admin at WMS aside from signing my kid out early or calling to say they are sick.

we are moving in the summer for grade 6 and grade 4 starts.

This is very hard. To be honest, there are only 4 main schools that go to WMS. Most of the kids have been together since K. My one gripe with WMS is that they have done absolutely zero for community building and trying to get kids to branch out. Even in 7th grade the kids still sit with their elementary school classmates at lunch. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of friend making among the different elem schools. I would honestly be very worried about the 6th grader making new friends. Are they outgoing? Willing to join teams or clubs?

Current 8th grade class is supposedly full of mean girls.

Yes. Last year I was told by the administration that they had never encountered a group of girls like that, and they were dreading what their eighth grade year would be like. Hoping the lot of them go to Visi.

Well, when it was a girl, he pushed…

I have zero issues with this. Good, I’m glad he was suspended and I’m glad the kid caught vaping in the bathroom was suspended. Too bad the others with him didn’t get caught too.

You cannot ask anything there without paying their subscription fee, and who wants that?

Suit yourself. It’s a fabulous resource.

I have a 7th grader at Williamsburg. I’ve actually heard the opposite. I have not heard anyone who has liked discovery (parents) and my kid told me that in 6th grade a teacher called out a kid and said are you from discovery after she got an answer wrong. He said all of the discovery kids are behind.
I’ve been pretty happy with WMS though my child said the new assistant principal is not good.

Could you elaborate on what rough on discipline means?
