Found this thread bc ours was cancelled in New Orleans as well. What is going on? This seems to be an issue for a test that is required.

They function. They don't all the kids to use them.

Two different people at College Board told me that they were informed that Einstein could no longer host.
Einstein counseling very curtly told me "the school will not be able to host the SAT as planned."

Pretty sure CB can't force an event to take place at any particular school. I have no idea what the reason is. Another event at the school that day? Necessary maintenance? Some admin is just grumpy? Who knows.

This is a terrible thing for Einstein to do so last minute

The May test is right around APs so for many students the timing isn’t ideal.

I hear about some that are canceled every year because not enough students signed up. Einstein has an in-school SAT in May so I can see why not many people signed up for March. It’s too late for this application season anyway, and there are several more options before next year’s application season.

Also, some students choose to submit scores even when college say they are ‘test-optional’.

And test optional is not test blind...they note that you did not submit scores and assume you did not have a top score.

This is debatable. Many admissions officers say that’s not the case, they just evaluate the student using one fewer data point.
