Yea, we had it done 5 years again by a professional. Doors removed, taken to his shop where it was stripped and spray.

After 2 years, some of the paint flaked off on the base cabinet under the door. We touched up. It still looks amazingly good. We touch up the doors once in a while.

I think this will last another 5 years and then we will do it again. Our cabinets were in Good shape and the configuration was fine. The maple made it look dated. We replaced the appliances and countertops and the kitchen looks brand new!

Maple has a smooth look. Not much variation like oak. Maybe I am not good at describing but Google maple to see what it is.

Just post a picture.

Maybe you should go through the pictures posted above before trolling.

If it matters to you OP, I'm reading that wood cabinets are coming back into favor.

My grandmother had maple cabinets and I always thought the wood was gorgeous. To me, painted wood is more likely to look dated - colors come in and go out of style. Natural woods are more timeless. They may never be the latest trend, but the latest trend will always be replaced by something newer.

Why is that a disaster?

Nothing blends in the after - the white cabinets with the beige counter tops and orange floor. Looked better before

Same color and brand but different style. We actually paid extra for the upgrade

Instead of painting, you can get them wrapped. The people who wrap cars also wrap cabinets. I know this because we used them to wrap our child's flat head helmet.
