I had never heard of a "lawyer foyer" and I'm a lawyer lol. Had to look it up. At any rate, yeah, that big open two-story foyer with the view of the staircase does look dated. I like the look of it though, anyway; I like the airy open feel.

Those are some cheap finishes.

The house next door looks moldy. Like the area between the homes is moist and fungi.

I think it is a nice big house in a good neighborhood. It is near the Mosaic District and other shopping/restaurants. The same home on the other side of Nutley (districted for Oakton) or 50 (districted for Woodson) would probably cost $100K+ more, but if you really don't like Falls Church HS (an AP school), you can probably request a spot in the IB program at Marshall.

No - the houses are close together and oriented so that there is no sunlight between the homes. Rain/moisture does not dry from the siding, allowing mold to grow. It is easy to remove using a spray-on bleaching solution.

The communte to DC will have to be by Metro to be considered reasonable. I lived in the 22031 and 22043 zip codes for a long time and that section of 66 is always crowded during the daytime, including weekends. One of the reasons I moved further west was because it felt like such a chore to get anywhere because of the traffic. But tolerances vary, that's just me.

Its always so obvious when an owner or realtor posts a listing on here.

It all feels a little dated to me, but its too new to really spend the money changing out.

Not bad but nothing special either. The inside of the house is OK, good thing is that it seems spacious but finishes are older. Then again, at 980k for a 4.5k sq ft house cant expect that much, given its super cheap for the size and SFH (hell my TH is around that price).

Location is my only issue with it tbh, its a little too far from DC. Would be annoying to commute from there to DC (if one had to). Plus area is not super walkable (but again since its Fairfax thats kind of a given). Schools, surprisingly, seem meh though.

It’s basically a townhouse that is outdated by 30 years. Right next to the highway. Hard pass.
