we are in our fourth year of playing and parents have only been an issue once at a tournament and anytime we play herndon.

We did see a game where a SYC parent got a redcard but that was the only time we saw someone get kicked off the field.

We have seen our fair share of coaches throwing tantrums on the sidelines. I thought a bryc coach was going to have a stroke from the vein that was about to pop on his face while he yelled at his girls team.

We have also heard the BRYC and Valor coaches say some questionable things at games before to their own kids.

Parents for the most part haven't been too bad.

Youth soccer and stable parents are mutually exclusive.

Arlington and McLean is the best. The parents do not go to practices or games, they send their nannies.

Stay away from SYC MSL Next 2011 parents. They are by far the worst.

Find a team where no parents show up for the games. That's probably the most stable (and happiest) team in the DMV.

My oldest son is on a U18/19 MLSNext team. Kids drive themselves to practice, scrimmages and most games.

It's very pleasant. People are nice and if parents come to the games--they really want to just watch.

The worst parental behavior, I've found, is in younger ages when parents really think their kid is going to be the next Pulisic or Mia Hamm.

Accurate. Generally above U15 maybe more like U16 most parents are pretty stable and know not to act like a jabroni.

With three kids playing on different levels for the past 9 years, I've been to many games and seen many teams in multiple age groups.

I've only seen one where all the parents are quiet at a game except for clapping a goal or outstanding play.

The rest are mostly all the same. Some much worse than others.

As parents we have been happy at McLean.

And I completely disagree with the lower level teams- those parents were the craziest. Sideline yelling, yelling at players, overinflated opinion of their kids, etc…

believe it or not, it's lower level clubs that have NCSL as their highest competition level.

PAC, Burke, FPYC, South County maybe... competition level isn't that high, not as much at stake and people tend to care less than parents of kids in more "elite" leagues.
