For kids, the T is for Toddler.
For adults, the T is for Tall.

+1, my kid wore the T sizes as long as she could because she prefers bright colors and like cute prints. The kid sizes often strike her as too plain or boring because they borrow more from teen and adult fashion. So it was actually a bummer when she grew like two inches last year and officially sized out if toddler clothes.

Yes! I so agree with this no more cool firetruck or dinosaur pants now the boys just get offered boring solids in blue or khacki. Plus they jack the price way up!

It is for toddler, but this age for sizes it terrible! I hated trying to find clothes because sometimes the 4 was larger than a 5t! It was so confusing. Good luck!

Everyone has answered here but wanted to add— it also took me forever to figure out why size 4/5 at the same company only sometimes fit! I finally figured out that the T often meant more room for a diaper/pull up but was cut much shorter, so that it looked like my kid was wearing highwaters/crop tops.

It’s embarrassing how long it took me to figure out that she should be in just “normal” 4 or 5.
