I think one underrated feature of colleges is how compact they are. At some of these sprawling campuses you can waste a lot of time just getting to class. FSU seems to have one of the most compact campuses among huge universities. Sometimes acreage can be deceiving, but FSU’s campus is listed at around 500 acres, compared to 2000 acres at UF. Maybe someone who is familiar with both campuses could verify if the campuses are as different as their acreage indicates.

UF has the best reputation and imo is the best college town, followed by FSU. UCF was a commuter school for forever and is in a weird pocket east of Orlando. The school is huge now so I’m sure the area is built up, but it used to feel like the middle of nowhere. Re clubs, I think the challenge of getting into some clubs exists at most large schools these days.
What is the reputation of UCF today? It seems very popular in Florida these days?

I have heard this many times. I didn't realize that the even the clubs were cut throat!
