If he’s in college and I’m paying for it, hell yes. And don’t try to tell me that you don’t do this. All parents who take care of their children have some control or you’re not looking out for what is best for them.

+1. My kid is in college and he's 20, but I'm still underwriting the vast majority of his living expenses. He's driving my car, I pay for his cell phone, his auto insurance, I'm paying for his tuition, I'm buying his food, etc.
My kids have always known if they get a tattoo I'm not paying for college.
Now if it comes down to him actually getting one, will I blow up our relationship over it? Probably not. But it's been a good deterrent. I'm just hoping to get them to an older, more thoughtful age and maturity.
