It does make it difficult to read the site and, at some point, has the effect that I just move on and do something else.

You also have to hit "return" or "go" (whatever the the button says). That should cause the overlay to load. Several other posters have reported these ads so they should be removed soon.

Also, I think you can avoid these ads simply by using your device in portrait mode.

I did hit “return” but nothing happened.

I am using portrait mode now, and that helps, but it is not as convenient.

and hit return. An overlay should appear that says "report" over each ad. If these ads have the option to report them, please do so. Otherwise, try to take a screenshot.

I can only pass these complaints on to our ad partner and I know that this is not enough information for them to work with.

I tried this when it happened on the forum index page and just got a 404 error instead. But maybe I did it incorrectly? I am not on a ipad, but a laptop.

Mac or PC and what browser? I know the "#audit" thing doesn't work with Safari on a Mac. It works with Chrome on both OSs. I don't know about Firefox.

Edit: I just read back and saw you are using a Lenovo and Chrome. It "#audit" should work on that combination.

It was my fault, I had added a slash but corrected it and it worked. I also sent you a screenshot.

I'm seeing the big yellow ad with the dog on my Lenovo laptop using Google Chrome. Will try to report.

Adding my experience with the AmEx ad: iPad, landscape, Safari. Have been getting it for days. Will send you a screenshot next time I see it.

It happened again, and I was able to report.

Thanks!

I had the giant dog ad with Chrome on a desktop. The only way to make it go away was to hit the back button. I came to this thread to remember how to report ads, and then it stopped happening.

Thanks. Reporting with the #audit tool is the best response. That is very helpful.

I think it's taking revenge! It's been everywhere, including here. I had to report (which doesn't remove the ad), go back out, and come back to the forum.
