Shes napping. I’ll let you know when she wakes up. But I’m expecting a rejection. As I told someone earlier in the thread, she’s already accepted to a school she really likes, so this would have just been a nice bonus for consideration.

OP here. If you’re talking to me, thanks for the info. She has another school she’s been accepted to and loves, so if she gets an offer for that she will likely pass. But I appreciate the help!

If your child gets in for Summer, consider than a win and do it. The soft start is wonderful for meeting other freshman before Fall starts and tuition is based on credit hours (even in traditional semesters)so the extra cost is just housing and food and loss of summer employment. It actually is a great option even though it might not seem like that at first.

What I like is they are not TO. So the published data are the test scores so everyone (obviously), not just the super high scores that were submitted.

Those are the stats for students who were accepted, not students who actually matriculated at FSU. Accepted student stats are always significantly higher since most of the ones pulling up the average end up at higher-ranked schools. Last year's freshman class at FSU had a median ACT range of 26-31.


Oh that’s interesting. I never thought about that. When schools publish their stats are they usually using that first set of stats or the second?

It looks like FSU sent out orientation emails by accident. On CC, people said that everyone who received this email early last year ended up getting in. However, some people who didn't get the email also got in.

This is OP. If these stats are correct, it was a soft rejection for my DD! 😂

She’s got a 4.4/28 ACT. Generic EC’s and sports. Prob not looking good. Ah well!


Agree. Probably a rejection. Her ACT is low for such a high GPA. Bad sign that her grades are inflated.


If she gets rejected, it's not because of the letter. She might get admitted as summer entry or through the access program, which have lower stats: SUMMER: 4.1-4.5 | 1260-1360 | 28-30
