How is he dodging a bullet? He's done plenty of other crappy things and the least he could have done is call, or come bring flowers. We live an hour away from each other.

He super injured himself on the weekend working out and has been in super pain and can't drive. He felt bad not doing what we typically do: Get me a card. I got him one. Absolutely no hard feelings! There have been reasons in the past where one or both of us hasn't been able to get a card. We typically have a semi nice family dinner, but we do that most nights anyways.

I gave him a BJ because we couldn't have sex because of his injury. He's a great husband of 25 years. We don't typically do anything other than sex/card/dinner at home, so nothing to complain about here.

Read the empowered wife. Then you will get valentines. Seriously.

If you are the type of person who craves attention on Valentines Day, and he is the type who thinks it is no big deal, they why did you marry him? you CHOSE him as your husband. the only person you should be mad at is YOU.

We exchange cards and we are going to a V party this evening. We’ll see what happens late tonight!

+1 I feel loved on a daily basis. DH is a terrible gift giver. I’m good.

DH and I agreed not to do anything, so probably me LOL.

He tried, but the gift was really odd - a pair of socks that need to be hand washed. I got him a little pack of fancy cookies, so we are not big gift people, but I really cannot see myself hand washing socks. If he had given the same socks, and they were machine wash, I would be fine with it, but this feels like more of a burden than a gift.

I bought him chocolates, which isn’t much, but it is better than nothing.
