Not a full pad and obviously not tampon but liner yes.

So I never tracked before age 42 and totally regret it in retrospect.

Perimenopause is something that’s not talked about but it can very easily be as bad as, or worst than, bad post partum depression (they are both times when you’re missing estrogen). If I could keep the body of my 20s or 30s forever, I’d never track, but if you suffer in perimenopause, you’re dying to get back to the body you knew in your 20s and 30s but that body’s gone, and the more you know about how your body worked from your 20s and 30s (including details about your cycle), the better you will be suited to get the help you need (and shocker, a lot of OBs are interested in fertile women and disregard the concerns of women in their 40s and older so you have to do unfair amount of complaining and convincing to get help from a lot of OBs).

do you really get them at the same time as dd?

I track so I can tell my dr when my last period was. I track because I get debilitating cramps that disrupt our schedule and I need to give my husband a heads up that he will need to take over.

Have never tracked and never plan to. It’s only an issue when the nurse asks about it during intake to a dr visit. They absolutely won’t take « I don’t know » as an answer so I just make something up.

I don’t. My body tells me where I am.

99% of the time, my period starts when I get up in the morning and am sitting on the toilet for my first morning pee. And it starts light enough that I notice when I wipe, but it's not dirtying my underwear.

I know it probably won't always be this easy, but so far, I'm sure the easiness goes hand in hand with why I don't bother tracking.

I don’t track because I don’t want to worry about whether it’s late or shorter or longer or early or anything at all. I don’t get surprised by it, though. My body gives me hints in advance.
