I wouldn't even vote for Mandel to make decisions for stray cats. She's a total nut job and is pro-nuking Palestine. Someone needs to look into her parenting of her own kids. Poor things.

Were you asleep in 2022 when all the MAGA freaks like Dan Cox beat all the Republicans who pass for normal in the GOP primary?

Dan Cox was backed by Democrats who knew he was the lesser of the GOP nominees. They knew that if he made the ballot Wes Moore was a shoe in. Kelly Schultz would’ve been a little more of a tighter race.

Lies!!! Total and complete lies.

No proof of this exists. Shut your a-hole maga maggot mouth.

New prediction: no republicans will EVER win an office in MD again. Not even in districts in the red(neck!) parts of the state that have traditionally always been GOP’r. Not after this year. Things have changed and people don’t even realize it. It’s going to be funny AF when it happens.

Anonymous wrote:Why would ANYONE vote for Hogan?

Republicans won’t vote for a republican who acts like a democrat. Democrats won’t vote for a republican who acts like a democrat when there’s an actual democrat to vote for instead. Who is Hogan’s constituency? He doesn’t have one.

He served 2 terms as governor and only left office due to being term limited. You may not be it, but he has a constituency.

He may have a constituency but you can be sure that MAGA won’t let him get past the primary. Even if he does, do you really think there’s a place for him in the Senate? Just look at those two congressmen who are now not seeking re-election because they didn’t vote to impeach Mayorkas. There is no room for non MAGA in the GOP.

But there are not many MAGA in Maryland. In Maryland much more of the GOP are conservative non-MAGA Republicans. And Hogan also appeals to right leaning Independents. This is why he won two elections. The Democratic party selected two weak candidates (Anthony Brown, the head of the disastrous Health Care Exchange roll-out) and then the political novice and ultra-progressive Ben Jealous. Neither of them was a very viable candidate and Hogan appealed far more to the electorate. But there are still many people who would prefer Hogan to a progressive candidate. But Trone is not a progressive, so Independents are more likely to vote for Trone as opposed to Brown or Jealous.

Despite this, I don't think Hogan can win. He can win the governor's office, but Congress and the Senate are different. MD is not going to vote a GOP candidate into one of those and face the possibility of bicameral GOP majorities. The current environment means that control of Congress is very important and I can't see enough people in this state that would give up a Democratic seat. Since MD is about 2/3 Democratic, Hogan won't stand a chance.

And Mandel is not going to win. She's a nutcase MAGA idiot.

Hogan has a chance (I'd put my money against it, but it's a chance), but the idea that Mandel is going to win makes OP sound totally out to lunch.

DP. I remember that. The Republican Party in Maryland has become the Trump Party, just like everywhere else. Non-MAGA Republicans, by and large, are former Republicans.

What's the mentality of posters like OP, who pathetically gloat on a mom's website over imagined victories that will never come to pass? There's got to be a diagnosis. OP looks pretty sad from here.
