Nonsense. They made a very strategic move. On the girls side its GA or ECNL. They will draw talent in. I would be surprised if the current GA teams didn't move over to VR, especially the younger ages. Curious to see if they get MLS Next for the boys side.
Yes that's what Metro thought as well. See how that turned out.

Yeah, BRYC existed in the ECNL. That year they were rumored to being on the verge of losing their national spot and then formed a joint venture with Vienna and formed Brave.

I don’t think that’s how it works. It was BRYCs membership a la Union and McLean. It wasn’t a newly accepted club that changed any numbers or dynamics for the MA region.

If several GA clubs do get accepted into MLS Next, that's writing on the wall for what's setting up here in the youth turf wars. Those lines are being drawn between GA/MLS combo and ECNL.
