It sounds nice I know but I just feel like it was a waste of my time when I could’ve been productive and exercised and didn’t eat crap. How do you pull yourself out of these ruts?

I strongly disagree w/this sentiment.
I mean, as long as you do not sit around like this for a significant portion of your life.

But since you say that you have a job, then I am assuming that you just had three days off in a row.

I myself have been very guilty of doing nothing for a few days at a time - on occasion.
Usually it occurs when I have been working extra hard and/or am feeling down about something in particular.

But the fact that you are taking a daily shower 🚿 is a good sign >> you do not seem to be depressed to me.

Maybe today if you do not work, try to eat a little more healthy.
Even an apple vs. a bag of potato chips would be an improvement.

And try to get outside -> even if you have to force yourself to put on shoes -> take a brief stroll around the block.

Try to tackle at least one household chore today so that you will feel accomplished.
Throw in a load of laundry, vacuum the living room or organize a portion of your closet.
Before you go to bed, do some extra self~care as your reward.
A warm, soaking bubble bath is always a great idea.

Hopefully you will feel better about things at the end of the day!

It’s called “languishing” and is a mental health concern.

It's fine to take a day like this, but 3 is too much OP. Break the habit and go outside tomorrow. Go talk to people in person. Don't fall further into the downward spiral.

Take some vitamins. Sounds like you’re missing some nutrients. Do something nice for a total stranger.

I'm coming out of three YEARS of this. It was awful. Don't become me, wake yourself up now.

Did something trigger this? Try to figure out why you got into a rut.

To get out, find things to be excited about. And make commitments, put money on the line. If your friends are expecting you to show up or if you pre-paid for something pricey, you will force yourself to get out and do it.
