What small businesses? I’ve tried classes at those (orangetheory) and they called me about 10 times so make the sale.

They’re a compound lift that works basically your entire body and one of the few movements that allow you to max out weight on your legs without being limited by your grip strength. But you don’t have to do them.

I loved orange theory and pure barre until I didn’t. I’d still prefer barre over OTF though. Club Pilates could be good if the employees weren’t just uncomfortably mean. I was meh on Solidcore. My tried and true is just good old weight lifting and walking.

Love: Les Mills body attack classes. The body pump ones are good too. Popsugar cardio Pilates videos on you tube,

Hate: barre and yoga. They just aren’t dynamic enough

Barre - with a passion
Mat pilates
walking
weight lifting

Dislike:
reformer pilates - was surprised how much I disliked this
Orange Theory - too harsh

love: reformer Pilates, which is the only work out where I focus on the exercise instead of thinking about work, life, etc.

Hate: running. I just cannot run.

Love Peloton bike, long brisk inclined walks on the treadmill, and core workouts. It's all pretty monotonous but that helps me stay in a daily routine. I like to just zone out.

Hate anything that involves a class with other human beings, requires coordination or a lot of flexibility, or involves a lot of jumping around.

Love a hike when the weather is nice.

Agree with most of these but not a Bodypump fan - too canned. Love good dance classes when you can find them. Kickboxing. Tennis. Snowboarding. Paddleboarding. Kayaking.

Hate:
F45 &Orange Theory (Basically anything where I have to stare at a screen)

Swimming laps

Love: Pure Barre, Dance fitness with a good instructor.
Hate: Running, skiing, cross fit

Hate: burpees (hate it with the fire of 1000 suns), working with a trainer (because they make me do burpees)
