OP here. I'm in my early 60s and started taking up strength training about 6 months ago. I also love it, which surprises me because I dislike most exercise. Like you, I feel stronger and more youthful and can bound up stairs (kudos on the running, jumping basketball rollerblading and skating!) and just have way more energy than before. It really is transformative and I also wish I had started it years ago.
