The Parents of the HS Class of 2024 forum is an effing disaster. It is dominated by a small group of parents who have a weird obsession with cocktails and love to talk about their Biglaw jobs. Very rarely is it ever on topic and the majority of people seem like folks I would go out of my way to avoid in real life.

Really? I have not noticed that. Now I am going to go look! CC does suffer from some posters who seemingly post on every forum, as self-declared experts. But generally people do try to provide constructive advice. And the moderators do try to keep people on topic.
