Outside of ecnl playoffs, ecnl players should spend the summer working on details, playing other sports, and generally taking care of the body.
Explain what working on details consist of exactly
So play other sports while simultaneously taking care of the body?
Does playing other sports make you a better soccer player, or is it just for fun?
It means working on ball handling, finishing, whatever needs extra work. An hour a day. Or less.
Yes, play other sports to increase overall athleticism, which makes you a better soccer player.
Take care of your body by finding a good trainer to identify structural weaknesses that can lead to injury. Stick to a plan.
Stay off the turf !
Run on grass and sand.
Come back fresh

Super y is good for mainting touches and beating up in lesser comp. But that comp jumps up in tampa when the teams swap players n bring top talent in hopes for a trophy n press run. Definitely reach out to ur TD and coach to get super y plans clear in the open. Otherwise buyer beware if tourny time isn’t merit drivenAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:all this.. plus most clubs bring the evnl talent Only to tampa. No, they are not secret ECNL tryouts. Those interested in playing for a ECNL club just need to reach out to a coach and attend a team practice.
There are no tryouts normally. You call/email. Get invited to practices. Go from there. Some teams hold ID sessions that are like private workouts for a limited number of people. But most ECNL programs do not have large casting calls. You should start now if you think your DD wants/could move.
Which coach do you email for a practice? EG: DC is rising U13. If the coach is not going to be the U13 ECNL coach then who do you email and practice with?
