Would he peel it if I asked him? Yes.

Would he peel it if I just asked him for an orange? No. And thank God. He peels oranges like an animal! There is always a chunk missing or lots of the white part left. He's fantastic at cooking and it always cracks me up that his oranges look like they were peeled by an animal at the zoo.

This. But if for some reason I was unable to, he would of course do it. But I prefer my oranges in slices. Mandarins, however, I peel.

Agreed. I really don't like this trend of testing your partner with trivial games. Especially when the right answer assumes being a loving and caring partner means infantilizing them. A lot of people were failed by their parents and seeking to prolong childhood and fill that good of neglect with a SO

My dad picked crabs for my mom when she was still alive.

I shave.

I'm the orange peeler. He'll just cut them into wedges. Part of it is that I have longer nails and can in fact peel without problems.

If it is something easy to peel like clementines, he'll peel it.

What? Why wouldn't they? I mean, I wouldn't ask them to unless I'd just done my nails or something.

What am I missing here.

clementines are a type of orange.

He would think I was kidding, because why would I actually ask him that?

No, he hates it so much I peel his oranges. He used to seek me out to do it if a kid asked him when they were too little, they learned fast. I didn't know about this trend but it would be funny to record his reaction

Yes, of course, but I don’t eat oranges. I peel my own clementines and he gets up and throws away the peel for me. I really appreciate it!
