My kids are teens. They only have to outrun me to get away from the zombies.

Nope. I read that thread also, and all I could think was that I wouldn't want to survive that situation. Living in a bunker, in the dark, storing my seeds and weapons? Nah, I'm out.

The reality is lots of people would start dropping like flies 1-2 months into any sort of apocalyptic situation due to lack of modern medicines. Our population is so old. We wouldn't be able to keep up with all the heart attack and stroke deaths.

I'm afraid that even the slow versions of zombies would be able to get me. I've watched the shows. I've tried running across an open field. Yeah, I'm not making it long.

People underestimate the will to survive. I'd do my very, very best. As a lawyer, I have no actual skills that would help me, but I'll keep fighting to live until the bitter end.

A few years ago someone posted a website so that you can see if you are in a kill zone vs. radiation/fallout zone for a nuclear war. I discovered that my house in VA is not close enough to be in the automatic kill zone. That is a problem. Still made at the person who posted that website.


I saw that too. You could move to MD where the fallout blows over and kills you pretty quickly. If you make it to your basement in VA then you're likely to go on until starvation.

No way. I've seen the walking dead. I would not make it a day. I've already told my husband one bullet to the head is the kindest way to deal with me.

A few years ago someone posted a website so that you can see if you are in a kill zone vs. radiation/fallout zone for a nuclear war. I discovered that my house in VA is not close enough to be in the automatic kill zone. That is a problem. Still made at the person who posted that website.
